The Rancho Bernardo Branch has served Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Rancho Penasquitos, and Escondido in the Southern California area since 1969.
Membership in AAUW offers a variety of rewarding experiences including opportunities
v To attend thought-provoking monthly General Meetings featuring speakers who discuss topics such as women’s issues, current events and other matters of general interest;
v To participate in Special Interest Groups and other events that provide opportunities to meet other women who believe education is a lifelong process;
v To form working relationships and friendships with other college graduates through branch business meetings and social gatherings geared toward mutual interests;
v To develop leadership skills through holding board and chair positions in the organization.
General Meetings are held at 1:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month from October through May at the Rancho Bernardo Swim & Tennis Club, 16955 Bernardo Oaks Drive. The September, April and June General Meetings are held at 11:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday at a local country club.

AAUW – RB Primary Focus |
|
v Grant scholarships to women in local colleges and universities through the AAUW-RB Local Scholarship Fund;
v Sponsor 7th- and 8th-grade girls in a weeklong science camp to pique their interest in the fields of science and math through its Tech Trek program;
v Provide grants, fellowships and funding for special projects for graduate women through the AAUW Educational Foundation;
v Promote equity in colleges and universities through the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund;
v Support legislation on issues affecting education, women and children.
